We are a group of outdoor enthusiasts with a range of skills, including EMS Educators, Critical Care Paramedics, Lifeguards, Registered Nurses, and camp healthcare programming specialists. Our passion lies in ensuring that organizations conducting any outdoor programming or operations have the most comprehensive and safest emergency preparedness plan possible.
This includes essential elements such as Organization specific Emergency Response kits and OSHA Compliant A and B First Aid Kits. OSHA Compliant Work Place CPR/First Aid and BBP Exposure Training, as well as School CPR and First Aid Instruction. Additionally, advanced training in ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support Class and PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support are also able to be provided to enhance organizational response abilities and workplace safety.

As a certified lifeguard and waterfront safety program consultant, I also offer specialized training such as the ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support Class and PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Additionally, I emphasize the importance of having an OSHA First Aid Kit on hand, as well as providing School CPR and First Aid Instruction to enhance workplace safety.

From northern Michigan, this avid outdoor enthusiast enjoys downhill skiing, water-based activities, mountain biking, hiking, and outdoor adventuring. With 24 years of experience as a practicing firefighter and paramedic in both extremely rural and urban settings, he holds credentials as a board-certified critical care paramedic, community paramedic, and State licensed EMS Instructor. As a career firefighter, he has extensive experience and certifications in multiple areas of technical rescue and operates as a Tactical Medic with the regional Special Response Team. Additionally, he has over 12 years of experience as Adjunct Faculty at Lansing Community College, where he teaches vital skills in CPR and First Aid Instruction. During the winter months, he maintains his Outdoor Emergency Care certification as an active alpine Patroller, boasting over 20 years of volunteer service with the National Ski Patrol. He also has dedicated over 20 years to volunteering with the State of Michigan Special Olympics Medical team for both the Summer and Winter State Games. During high school and college, he spent a significant portion of his summers working with Youth Camping programs associated with the Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan (HFM). From 2022 through 2025, he returned as medical and waterfront safety staff for the summer camping programs, ensuring safety compliance with an organization specific Emergency Response Kit, that would go on to be utilized for other weekend youth development programs. His training includes the ACLS:Advanced Cardiac Life Support, PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and PHTLS: Prehospital Trauma Life Support, all which enhance his ability to provide essential care in various settings.

With two decades of experience, including Public Health nursing and policy reform, my expertise extends into executive health care administration, where I am passionate about streamlining processes and enhancing emergency preparedness. I also emphasize the importance of workplace safety through proper health training, including School CPR and First Aid Instruction.
Currently serving as the Camping Programs Health Officer for the Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan, I leverage my background to ensure safe and effective program delivery.
Previously, I was an adjunct faculty member in the nursing program at Western Michigan University and in public administration at Grand Valley State University.
In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities such as horseback riding, trail biking, and kayaking. My most recent adventure was an 80-mile trek over the Austrian Alps. Additionally, I volunteer with the National Ski Patrol, where I promote safety and preparedness, utilizing resources like the OSHA First Aid Kit to ensure readiness in emergencies.
I have been a nurse since 2008 and a health care consultant since 2018.
